A very simple and healthy dish: Sweet and Sour Cabbage. Cabbage is rich in vitamin C and fiber. Enjoy!
Sweet and Sour Cabbage
Half medium cabbage, broken into pieces by hand
3 slices ginger
2 dried chili pepper, seeds removed
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon dark or rice vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons canola oil
1. Heat up oil in a sauté pan to medium heat. Sauté ginger and pepper for about 1 minute.
2. Turn up the heat to high, add cabbage in and stir fry about 2 minutes.
3. Add sugar, salt and half of the vinegar, and cook about 1 minute.
4. Add rest of the vinegar and mix up. Serve.
Is that Napa cabbage or regular cabbage?
Regular cabbage. Thanks, Ling
Actually its Napa, it may be normal Cabbage to Ling, but i think that Vj may have been asking about western cabbage which is much tighter than the one you used.
Napa is best for this recipe as it becomes soft quickly with heat and salt when cooking, this is shown on Ling’s vid if you look carefully.
Kronic
You can tell its Napa also because of the stork line across the middle.
