Today is winter solstice, also known as midwinter (in Chinese, Dong Zhi). It falls on December 21 or December 22 on the Gregorian calendar. It is the shortest day but the longest night of the year. In China, people celebrate and believe that days will be longer going forward and things will be more positive. Families get together to cook dumplings, rice balls, a big pot of lamb or beef soup (in my hometown Sichuan), etc. As it’s said, since winter is already here, spring is not far away. Wish everybody happy and warm holidays!

I’m truly enjoying the design and layout of your blog. It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more pleasant for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a designer to create your theme? Exceptional work!
