Steamed Asian Pear with Rock Sugar
Hope you will enjoy this steamed pear. When I grew up, this is one of the home remedies to alieviate coughing and soothe throat.

1 Asian pear (brown or yellow) 糖梨或雪梨
1 tsb rock sugar
1 tsb Goji Berries (soak in water about 10 mins)

Steamed Asian Pear with Rock Sugar
1. Soak goji berries in a bowl for 10 minutes;
2. Cut the top of the pear off, and scoop out the center and seeds;
3. Add goji berries and rock sugar inside pear, and fill up with water;
4. Put the top back, and place pear in a bowl;
5. When water boils, place the bowl in the steamer, and steam about 35 minutes on high heat. Serve.
Servings: 2
Note: skip goji berries if you can’t eat herbs. You may use dates.
